Excel Map Reflection
Posted on June 11, 2010 at 11:21 am by and

I think that the excel map, was fun and a good edition to the material we were learning. The only thing I had a problem was that requirements kept gettting added halfway through. It was fine at first but towards the end i was cramming to finish. luckily i did finish, but i know some people who were wishing they had time to add aditional things to their map.

Chapters 1, 2, and 3 Blog Post

During the first three chapters, I have learned a lot. I learned about the Scablands, Bretz ( he was the one who came up with the theory of how the scablands were created) and about the counties of Washington. But i hope we dont have a test on the counties, because i would fail miserably… :) I also learned about some of the different climates of Washington; Such as the Washington Highlands, the Pacific lowlands, or the Olympic Peninsula. I think learning about Washington state is important because it helps us know more about where we live, where our family lives, and where historic things have happened in Washington State. :D

This poject turned out ok… it was kinda fun, but the computer kept losing some o my information.  Other than that, it seemed to be ok. I also wish we would have taken hand written notes… I like being able to look at the notes when i write, and that was difficult using this pogram… other than that, i think my project turned out nicely, and i think i will get a good grade… Although the quotes confused me! :)

Muhammad Book!
Posted on January 19, 2010 at 1:18 pm by and

On my Muhammad book, i thought  i did very well! Mine was colorful, and, had a lot of writing… I also added a table of contents, and a pretty picture of a camel next to it… I was happy with how it turned out, but if i had to change something i would add more writing, and i would add more color… What went well in my project was the drawings, but sometimes the black pen would leak through the pages, and that would sometimes cause problems… I like projects better, because chapter quiz’s are confusing…. And also in projects you get to draw pictures, and (in this case) write in arabic.. :)

Time Travel
Posted on December 16, 2009 at 9:32 pm by and

I just got back from the Arabian Peninsula, in 600 C.E. Amazing right??? I time traveled!!! Anyways, I am going to give you some tips on how to live there during this time. First of all, if you were going to live in the Desert, you would probably want to wear loose fitting clothes to keep the dust, and heat away, so as to keep you cool. Also, you would probably want to own a camel. Camels are used for many things including travel, and also were used to carry goods. If you were to live in the Oases, you would want to know how to irrigate. Irrigation was important because it helped them grow crops. Some Crops you might want to grow would be date palms, and melons. One other thing you may want to dig wells. The wells are used so you can keep water next to where you live. When living in the mountains, you would probably want to have terraces. Terraces are used to keep water from flowing off the sides of the Mountain. Terraces were very useful when growing crops. When building your house, you may consider using mud bricks. Lastly, when living on the coastal plains, you may have to be prepared to FARM FARM FARM!!! There wasnt much food, so everyone had to work for their food… Another thing, is you may want to stock up on water. The water is very important, because you will use it for growing crops, and most importantly, for your animals. Such as Camels, and Goats. I hope if you go time traveling back to this time, this will help you out! I enjoyed being here! Have Fun!

First Trimester has gona great for me! I like pretty much all my classses, but sometimes there are two calsses that get kinda… Well, boring! I think my favorite class is Language Arts. We get to learn a lot, but Mrs. P always makes it interesting. I also really enjoy pre algebra. It sometimes is kinda challenging, butMrs. Brogden is a great teacher, and she teaches us the lesson until we really get it, which is really nice. Mr. T, is really nice too. But sometimes I dont have as much fun in that calss, because I dont find social studies that interesting… :P In science we are doing some really cool expirements… But the notes. Are. Torure!!!! We take like 8 pages of notes a day! Im around 120 pages into my comp book… Looks like ill need another one! Haha! Ok, so Im thinking to improve in my subjects im gonna find some more time to silent read, because I got enough reading counts points for the trimester, but I didnt read every day… I just hope I can get in more reading this trimester! See ya at Home!

Unfair School Rule???
Posted on September 22, 2009 at 5:47 pm by and

Well, we all have a rule at school, that we think is “stupid” and I admit, So do I. I think the rule that we cannot wear shirts that dont cover our shoulder at school is not entirely fair. You can have a shirt that you cant wear to school, because it doesnt cover your sholder entirely. One thing I think we could do, is kind of change the rule, so instead of it has to cover your shoulder, instead it could be that it couldnt be a spaghetti strap tank top, or a shirt without sleeves. I think this makes sense, because you would have an appropriate shirt, that can still be a tank top.
